Professor of Pediatrics-Pediatric Nephrology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Currently, serves as the Vice President of the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology and the chair of the new ESPN WG on Hypertension in Children and Adolescents.

Research Interests

She has a profound scientific and research interest in pediatric hypertension and cardiovascular health and disease in pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis and after kidney transplantation. She participated in the European Society Hypertension Taskforces for the development of hypertension guidelines in 2016 and 2023, as well as the recent ISH guidelines in youth. She co-chaired the guideline group for the recent clinical practice recommendations from the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology for Assessment, prevention, and management of cardiovascular disease risk factors in children with chronic kidney disease, on dialysis and after transplantation.
